A Setback For Aceves

Reliever Alfredo Aceves was sent to New York after suffering another setback while throwing off a mound in Tampa. It's been a rocky back rehab for Aceves, who looks more and more unlikely to return this season.

Not good. Not good at all.

Aceves Making Progress

Here's an update on Aceves from LoHud's Chad Jennings:
Alfredo Aceves said he felt good after roughly six minutes throwing off a half mound. He will find out later today whether he’ll make the Yankees west coast road trip, but Aceves seems to think there’s a chance he will instead go to Scranton for a rehab assignment.
Girardi is a little more cautious and said he thinks it's too soon to know when Aceves will be back.
